Before SF Rannels backyard.jpg
This San Francisco backyard in it's original state had become a dumping ground that was overrun with weeds. The clients wanted a beautiful, low maintenance garden for the family (including their baby daughter and 2 dogs) to enjoy. They were insterested in native and drought tolerant plants that could be irrigated with greywater and rain harvesting, and would also attract hummingbirds and butterflies to the garden.

The lantana, pittosporum, yarrow, ceonothus ray hartman, and butterfly bush combine to create a natural screen that adds color and attracts plenty of butterflies!
